I have serious concerns about the drainage if any more properties are built on the above sites.  Since June 2012 my neighbour and I have experienced severe problems with damp as a result of rising damp and penetrating damp.  We are in the process of obtaining a second expert’s report before pursuing our insurance claims.  Water has breached our DPC and we both require very expensive remedial work.   When tides are high and there has been prolonged rainfall there is absolutely nowhere for the water to drain to.  Building on fields where so very recently there has been a flooding and surface water problem seems very ill thought out.    We already have existing damage.  What will be done to prevent increased problems through more land being built on?
